Message from Dean (Business faculty)
Education is the serious business. A good education provides the biggest down payment possible on future happiness. But how to deliver it. Emphasizing the important of preparing young people to make an economic contribution to society, we should acknowledge that this is not the sole purpose of education. Possessing a desire to learn, being honest, having regards for others –these are desirable qualities to install in anyone. Further employers often question whether the current university system is abele to equip all youngsters for the demand of the twenty-first century economy and labor market.
Taking this question into consideration we have made our major improvements in our undergraduate and graduate degree programs –new courses, new majors, new options, and new learning opportunities .we have also added talent dynamic faculties. We believe that Northern Business Administration department is stronger than we have ever been. This is a university and a department where values are important and where individuals matter.
The department of Business Administration offers Bachelor of Business administrator (B.B.A), Master of Business Administration (MBA) and master of Bank Management (MBM) Programs. The mission of Department of Business Administration, NUB is to deliver life long constituents through quality teaching, meaningful scholarship imbued by our religious and cultural values and commitment. In full fulfilling the mission we challenge our students with quality, global and innovative pedagogies; engage in meaningful scholarship, including theoretical enquiries; offer our considerable human and knowledge resource constituents; and act within a culture while promoting social and corporate stakeholders.
Running a department is unique in terms of the interaction with both teaching staff and with young people ,and I certainly believe that having experience as a teacher when I go on to run a department allows decision to be taken on an educational basis to the benefit of the young people .we have created academic environment conductive to learning , we have the student bodies that are engaged ,and we want to produce graduates who are highly valued in the job market .It’s a tall order ,but one that is within our reach.
