The department of Public Health, Northern University Bangladesh, organized a Field Trip program on 21 Januray, 2012 at Dhamrai, Savar, Dhaka. It was held under the supervision of Dr. Sheikh Mohammad Alif, Senior lecturer & Course Instructor for Practicum course of Dept. of Public Health. The main purpose of this field trip was to collect data on knowledge of the women on contraceptives and its use. 15 students participated in the field trip.
Dr. Alif said that ‘Field trips are practical part of the MPH course. This course seeks to enable individual, communities and populations to increase control over their health by ascertaining the determinants of health, resulting in improved health condition. One of the learning outcomes of the course is to assess community needs and resources and develop report writing skills’.
