Northern University Bangladesh is governed by the Bangladesh Private University Act 1992 and as Amended in 1998. NUB is the first of its kind in Bangladesh to be managed by a group of academics. The chief executive of NUB is the Vice-Chancellor, who is assisted by a Syndicate, Academic Council, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Treasurer, Registrar and Officers of NUB as per statute & provisions of the University. As a founding body of NUB, the IBAT Trust has a reasonable representation in policy making body of the University namely in the Syndicate and in the Academic Council.
