Prof. Dr. Abu Yousuf Md Abdullah was born in Satkhira and studied in Jhenidah Cadet College. He completed his MBA from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) in the University of Dhaka and obtained his INTERNATIOAL MBA from Helsinki School of Economics and Business Administration, Finland and Graduate Business School, University of Texas at Austin, U.S.A. After coming back from US, he Joined IBA as a Lecturer and obtained his PhD from the University of Dhaka. He has been actively involved in teaching for more than 18 years in the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) University of Dhaka.

It is with pleasure that I welcome you to the official web site of Northern University Bangladesh. Our progress has been systematic and measured. We are looking forward to sharing with you future developments. As an academic I give greater value to high-quality education system and not compromising with the quality of the institution rather than be dedicated to enhance and strengthen the quality of Higher Education under the supervision of the University Grants Commission (UGC).Present UGC authority has been very cooperative and highly progressive in flourishing the private sector universities of Bangladesh. Beneath the leadership and support of the present UGC Chairman Higher Education in Bangladesh will reach greater heights.
Our purpose is to launch Northern University Bangladesh as a fine international institution to offer a choice in Bangladesh higher education that prepares a new generation of leaders. The quality of education at Northern University Bangladesh will be critical to social growth and economic development. Another purpose is to construct a renewed global partnership between the international educational communities. The embodiment of this new educational focus for Higher Education .This University shall play a leadership role in producing skilled professionals in strategic sectors necessary to catalyze the development and application of knowledge in solving social problems.
Northern University Bangladesh shall be a private, an international institution of higher education with a public function. It shall have moral personality and authority that would promote the values of integrity, creativity and excellence. The university shall ensure its existence in perpetuity and have a common institutional seal.
Within the limitation of its resources, Northern University Bangladesh shall provide an integrated experiential higher education that shall open its doors to all individuals without regard to geographic origin, gender, creed or ideological or political conviction.
The students, staff, and faculty of Northern University Bangladesh shall espouse, support, and interpret ideas in ways that not only avoid indoctrination, but promote and reinforce individual and community wellbeing. It shall encourage students to examine their personal philosophy, beliefs and values as well as promote critical thinking and problem solving.
Northern University Bangladesh shall foster a healthy environment in which its facilities shall be used for the purposes of learning, instruction and research. Northern University Bangladesh shall contribute to the development of Bangladesh with the objective of contributing to sustainable community development. It shall support and promote the cultural and social value systems of Bangladesh.
Let us fund the idea of Northern University Bangladesh. Let us build a uniquely different kind of university in Bangladesh. By supporting Northern University Bangladesh, you would participate in preparing a new generation of leaders to solve the problems of society.
