Northern University Environment Club (NUEC), Dhanmondi Campus, celebrated the World Environment Day-2017 on June 6, 2017 by arranging a seminar on “Natural Disaster”.
Prof. Dr. Anwar Hossain, Honorable Vice Chancellor, NUB was present as Chief Guest where Prof. Dr. M. Niamul Naser, Dept. of Zoology, University of Dhaka and Mr. Mizanur Rahman Bhuiyan, Chairman, Nature Study Society of Bangladesh graced the program as a special guest. Mr. Md. Anwar Hossain, Treasurer, NUB was present in the program as the guest of honor.
Prof. Dr. Shafiullah, psc, DBA, NUB presented a session as the keynote speaker on “Tornado or Nor’ Westar, causes, frequency and duration of Nor’ Westar”. He showed what the effect of thunderbolt is and how it affects nature and as well as animal in clouding people. He also shows some ways to prevent from such affects while the thunderbolt hits.
Prof. Dr. M. Niamul Naser, said a slogan “Connecting People to Nature” and shared dis-advantages of thunder shower. He also shared the information about the present condition Hilsha fish and also shared a forecasting the future about fish in Bangladesh.
Prof. Dr. Anwarul Hossain, Chief Guest of the program expresses that nature is very important in human life. He emphasized the proper usage of the natural elements for the better living. Only by this the human race can survive in the world.
Prof. Mustafa Kamal, Dean, Faculty of Business, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Ekramol Islam, Head, DBA & Convener, NUEC, Serena Akter, Co-Convener, NUEC and Md. Faizullah Kawshik , Add’ I registrar NUB & campus coordinator, DC also expressed their valuable opinion in the session.
