Welcome Pharmacy Department

Northern University Bangladesh (NUB) is a Government approved private university that has been sponsored and founded by IBAT trust, a non-profit organization. The department of Pharmacy can be considered as the milestone of this University. It began its journey on the 4th January 2004. It offers a 4-year Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm) program and enrolls student bi-semester (January-June and July- December) to fulfill the requirement of Pharmacy Council of Bangladesh.

To become a graduate in Pharmacy, one has to complete 160 credit hours in this department. This program has been designed to produce qualified pharmacists who will be sound academically, skilled technically, professionally capable of and morally committed to meet the growing demand of pharmaceutical fields.

At present, total students enrolled in the department are approximately four hundred. Till date, 120 students have been graduated from this department who are employed in various national and international pharmaceutical companies and related organizations. The dept. of pharmacy, NUB has been accredited by Pharmacy Council of Bangladesh (PCB) after a comprehensive and extensive inspection by a highly qualified and professional team. The department is furnished with five teaching laboratories, two research laboratories, one modern IT laboratory, a medicinal plant garden and an animal house, that are fully equipped with modern facilities. Moreover, dept. of Pharmacy has 16 permanent & 19 adjunct professionally renowned faculties and 6 efficient technical & administrative staff. It follows international standard course curriculum & UGC grading system for evaluation. The department has commodious air-conditioned class rooms with modern teaching tools (multimedia, Over head projector etc) and enriched library facilities. In a word, department of pharmacy, NUB can be regarded as one of the full fledged department in the country.
