Course waiver:  A student having professional experience in Public Health and having completed a relevant course in the degree programs securing minimum B+ may apply for secure waiver. However, the decision for waiver will be made by the Dean, Chairman or Director (Academic Affairs) on case by case basis.
Credit transfer:   A student may transfer credits for limited number of courses completed in other universities which have relevance with the courses in the MPH program at NUB. She/ He must obtain at least B in a particular course for which she/he will seek credit transfer.
Degree Requirements:
  • In order to be eligible for a degree, students must earn the required number of credits, i.e 51 credits.
  • Candidates must obtain a minimum CGPA of 2.5 on a scale of 4.0
  • Practicum or internship(with health development agency-posting or home) and Dissertation
  • Students will need minimum of one full academic year to complete 51 credits course in three semesters and a maximum of three years.

Evaluation Procedures:
There shall be evaluation based on class attendance, in course/class test, assignments/term papers, mid-term and final examination. No. of in course/class test and assignment/term paper depends on respective course teacher. There will be a mid-term at the middle of the trimester. The distribution of marks is as follows.
  1. Class Attendance:           05%
  2. In course/ class test:       05%
  3. Assignment/Termpaper :    20%
  4. Mid-Term Exam:               30%
  5. Semester Final:                40%
