Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering is quite new in its field and came into being just a few years back. Even in BUETthere is no existence of such department. The important of such department can not be denied but doubly emphasized in this present world of globalization. The information technology and telecommunication developed in such a quick speed and the development is such wide that the specialization of manpower in this field is necessary. With that end in view the dept. of CSE was born in NUB some 31/2 years backs.
The department of ECE at NUB now has developed fully with sufficient number of faculty member’s .Laboratories and infrastructure .faculty members consist of brilliant products of BUET & Dhaka University trained at home and abroad. The department possesses the following laboratories with most unto-date equipments.
- Analog Electronics Laboratory
- Digital Electronics Laboratory
- Telecommunication Laboratory
- Optical fiber Communication Laboratory
- Digital Signal Processing Laboratory
- Digital Communication Laboratory
- Cellular Mobile Communication Laboratory
- Microwave communication Laboratory or Laboratory
- Satellite communication Laboratory
Expert Faculty members are available to conduct projects thesis work of the students. Faculty members from BUET & Dhaka University are hired to conduct specialized courses courses in advanced levels .for industrials training students are sent to relevant organizations of their interest. The program is designed in such way to make the graduates fit for the country’s requirements as well as the requirements of abroad .I hope the department will continue flourishing steadily and will meet the demands of the nation.
