Alhajj Liaqat Ali, the editor of the Daily Purbanchal and the chairman of the Divisional Press Club Federation, Khulna said, “The true history of the liberation war should be focused before the young generation. It will not be possible to enrich the nation without the direction and spirit of the liberation war.”
Mr. Liaqat was saying so as the chief guest in a program arranged by Northern University Bangladesh on 14 December 2011 celebrating the great victory day and the martyred intellectual day where the university received some of our valiant freedom fighters warmly.
The freedom fighters who were present in the program are Professor Alamgir Kabir, Sardar Mahbubar Rahman, Sheikh Abu Nasim Moyna, Md. Inamul Haque Biswas, Shahinul Alam Sana, Sheikh Abdul Jalil, Md. Khalilur Rahman and Alhajj Md. Abul Hosen.
Professor A B M Rashiduzzaman – Head of the Department of Business Administration, Mr. A S M Rafiuddin – Assistant Professor, Department of English Language & Literature and Mr. Mahfuzur Rahman – Assistant Coordinator, Khulna Campus delivered their speech as special guests. Professor Dr. Anwarul Karim, Coordinator, Academic & Administrative, Northern University Bangladesh, Khulna Campus was the chairperson of the program. In his speech he said, “The freedom fighters are our pride. Everybody should work together to assure their dignity.”
